London, 14th July 2022: A brand-new ten-part series, Rob Rinder’s Interrogation Secrets takes a unique look at the battle of wits between police and suspects in some of the most disturbing US and UK criminal cases in recent years. 

Produced by Zig Zag Productions and scheduled to premiere on Crime+Investigation® in the early Autumn, the ten-part series is presented by criminal barrister and television personality Robert Rinder, whose legal background makes him the perfect guide to the dark arts of interrogation.

Across ten episodes of Rob Rinder’s Interrogation Secrets, a team of experts will analyse ten police interviews, in each of which the skilled work of detectives was key to cracking the case and securing a conviction.

Commenting on the announcement of the series, Rob Rinder said: “As a criminal barrister I see the case details after detectives have forensically examined them, so to be able to go into the rarely seen territory of the interrogation room is incredibly exciting for me. In each episode we highlight the strategies utilised by seasoned police investigators to obtain information from suspects which makes it a fascinating series. I hope Crime+Investigation®’s viewers enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it.”

With Rob as our expert guide, retired senior detectives from the US and the UK, forensic and criminal psychologists and body language experts will examine the original police footage of interrogations at the heart of each case, to reveal the ‘tricks of the trade’ used to extract a confession and the tell-tale signs that a suspect is lying. 

The team not only reveals what goes on behind the scenes of each cat-and-mouse conversation, but also give a unique insight into the minds of both suspects and interrogators as each seeks to gain the upper hand over the other.

Rob Rinder’s Interrogation Secrets was ordered by Dan Korn, VP of Programming at A+E Networks® UK, and Diana Carter, Commissioning Editor and Head of Talent at A+E Networks UK.
