On Thursday, May 16 at 10:00 pm COSMO premieres Mademoiselle Holmes, a fascinating, funny and witty crime drama inspired by the character created by Arthur Conan Doyle. This series arrives in Spain after taking France by storm: the premiere was watched by more than five million viewers and the series has already been renewed for a second season. 

Lola Dewaere, a renowned French actress best known for her work in the COSMO series Bright Minds, stars in this drama as Charlie Holmes, a 36-year-old policewoman who finds herself trapped at her desk at the police station where she works. Nothing about her personality seems to suggest that she is the great-granddaughter of Sherlock Holmes, but after an accident, her astounding abilities finally come to light. 

Suddenly, the introverted and uninspired Charlie radiates energy and her extraordinary intelligence and empathy transform her into an infallible and unpredictable investigator. Her sense of smell has sharpened, her observation and deduction skills have increased exponentially, and she is much more spontaneous and daring. 

Charlie has to rely on the support of her new partner Samy (Tom Villa, Munch), a forensic medicine graduate with a passion for Sherlock Holmes stories, who immediately sees her full potential. 

Thanks to the Baker Street detective's use of deductive reasoning, the lucidity she achieves by playing her violin and the always interesting and challenging point of view of Samy, her very own Dr. Watson, there will be no case that Charlie cannot crack. 

Mademoiselle Holmes tells the story of how the great-granddaughter of the famous detective takes the reins of her destiny as a woman and as a police officer. Charlie Holmes emerges as a contemporary heroine, brave and imperfect, a woman tormented by her past who seeks to explore both her origins and herself as she tackles the most difficult cases. Will she end up meeting her own Moriarty, Sherlock Holmes' greatest enemy?
