London, 21st March 2024: A+E Networks EMEA has commissioned multi-award-winning Avalon to produce a brand-new 2x60 special for Crime+Investigation: Murders at Little Bridge Farm.

Co-produced by Krempelwood, the series tells the shocking story of Mark Brown, and the double life the self-proclaimed "psychopath with a conscience" led. A family man by day and sadistic killer by night, convicted, in December 2022, of murdering Alex Morgan, 34, and Leah Ware, 32. The two-part special will use archive footage, CCTV, police evidence, access to Alex’s personal diaries, and interviews with the victims’ families to piece together this complex investigation. It reveals how Brown laid a false trail for police, in a desperate bid to prevent them finding the horrific truth buried at Little Bridge Farm.

Through testimonial and archive footage, we learn how Brown secretly used escort websites and lured his chosen victims to a homemade sex dungeon at Little Bridge Farm, where he murdered them and attempted to destroy the evidence. Before his eventual arrest, Brown led authorities on a wild goose chase. Police believe that Brown was planning the murder of a third victim, a long-term friend who escaped Brown’s clutches and who will be interviewed for the films.

This documentary will create a detailed timeline and a deep dive examination into what happened, the motive, and piece together the evidence of these two horrific murders.  It gets to the truth of what happened to two doting mothers with everything to live for and the monster who killed them.

Dan Korn, VP of Programming at A+E Networks EMEA, commissioned the two-part series with Diana Carter, Commissioning Editor and Head of Talent at A+E Networks EMEA.

For Avalon, the series is Executive Produced by Sarah Rest and Series Produced by Paula Tonks, alongside Series Director Lee Phillips.

Dan Korn, Vice President of Programming at A+E Networks EMEA, said: “It’s testament to the dedication of Kent and Sussex Police that this predator was stopped before he could kill again; and to the courage of Alexandra Morgan and Leah Ware who ultimately rebelled against his manipulation and coercive control and paid for it with their lives”.

Sarah Rest, Executive producer from Avalon said: “As a team we are honoured both Kent and Sussex Police gave us exclusive access to this investigation and the officers involved shared with us their determination to bring Brown to justice. We are indebted to the women who opened up their lives to us with searing honesty about their relationship with Brown and for whom the outcome could have been so different. Above all we hope our film pays tribute to Alex and Leah and shines a light on the women they were above and beyond the ‘victim’ label.”

Murders at Little Bridge Farm will premiere on Crime+Investigation and Crime+Investigation PLAYin April and May across the Netherlands and Belgium.
