Down arrow

A+E Networks EMEA continues its Internship programme in 2024 by offering Internships for three individuals in London – two in the On-Air Planning Team, one in the Insights and Analytics Team – to complete an industry placement before finishing their final year at University.

These Internships are the perfect opportunity to dive into the exciting world of Television at A+E Networks EMEA, a “ Great Place to Work 2023 “ certified company where the successful candidates will be supported as they develop and grow.

The 2024/2025 Placement Programme is now open for undergraduate students in the UK, who are due to start their placement year in Summer 2024 and to return to study in Autumn 2025.

Throughout the year spent with us, all three successful candidates will gain invaluable insight into the media industry and come away with the knowledge and experience to further their career in a wide range of directions.

Insights & Analytics Intern

The Insights and Analytics Intern is uniquely positioned to work across all areas of the business with exposure to both our linear channel brands (including Sky History, Crime & Investigation and BLAZE), and our digital products such as our PLAY streaming services, video-on-demand (VOD) platforms and social media.

Our internship allows students to unlock their potential by contributing to work that will have a tangible impact on the business, ranging from day-to-day reporting to meaningful projects that help to shape the strategic vision of teams across the company.

Please note that this role is based on audience research rather than production research.

On-Air Planning Intern

The On Air Planning intern will work with a variety of departments across EMEA and develop key sector knowledge, learning the full end to end broadcast process by splitting their working week across two teams; Presentation and Continuity + Navigation.

Working in Presentation involves the creative, accurate and compliant scheduling of all broadcast presentation elements (promotions, sponsorship, graphics, voiceover announcements and channel branding) and sending completed schedules to Playout so that our content can be delivered to our customers.

In Continuity + Navigation, the team strategically plan navigation graphics within excel for the Presentation team to reference. They also write voiceovers for the channels, pushing to new shows as well as co-ordinating and liaising with voiceover artists. The teams’ objective is to use on air graphics and voiceovers to increase viewership and aid retention across the A+E portfolio.

Both teams in London also play a big part in collaborating with and supporting our international offices in Germany, Italy, Poland and South Africa.
