LONDON (15 July 2015): A+E Networks UK, a joint venture between A+E Networks and Sky plc, announced the departure of Managing Director Tom Davidson under a management restructure. Dean Possenniskie will succeed Davidson effective July 20 under his current role as Managing Director, EMEA for A+E Networks.
Possenniskie currently serves as a board member of the joint venture and will continue in this capacity alongside his new responsibilities.
“On behalf of A+E Networks and Sky, we thank Tom for his commitment and leadership during his successful tenure with the venture,” said Possenniskie. “I look forward to working with the talented team at A+E Networks UK to drive further growth in the UK and our other key territories.”
Davidson served as MD of A+E Networks UK for seven years during a period of growth that saw the launch of new channel brands, including Lifetime and H2. Over this time, the venture’s cumulative subscriber base doubled to more than 100 million households.
A+E Networks UK currently operates 18 channels across the UK, Nordic, the Benelux, Central Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The venture has offices in London, Copenhagen, Warsaw and Johannesburg.
“It has been a great pleasure to lead the venture over the past seven years through a period of high growth. I am sure the company will continue to grow and succeed under Dean's leadership and I wish the best for the global A+E Networks family in the future,” said Davidson.
