WITH A STRONG FOCUS ON EDUCATION, ENGAGEMENT, AND FUNDRAISING TERRITORIES ARE PARTNERING WITH HIGH PROFILE LOCAL ORGANISATIONS

A+E Networks EMEA has revealed the impactful creative and plans behind its EMEA-wide campaign to support ending abuse against women.

The campaign End Abuse Against Women is part of a Europe-wide initiative across A+E Networks EMEA’s Crime+Investigation Network, and will roll out throughout 2020 with locally produced content across linear, VOD, digital and fundraising activations both on and off-air. Special programming events throughout the year will continue to highlight and support the campaign message; “together we can help change lives and show women everywhere they are not alone”.

Starting from Saturday 23rd November bespoke programming events featuring shows with a focus on domestic abuse will air across the region. On 25th November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, a complete channel takeover will replace all on-air elements and promos, including powerful “now and next” menus highlighting the different forms of abuse affecting women. Viewers can get involved by making manageable donations while accessible information about the specialist support available from charity partners is showcased.

Crime+Investigation branding has been integrated into the campaign to show intent and commitment using every available touchpoint across linear, VOD, above the line, digital and PR. The campaign is a Crime+Investigation first across the EMEA region; the concept has been created to have a global look and feel while highlighting the issues most affecting in each territory.

Crime+Investigation has joined forces with some leading organisations that support women and action change.

Refuge - The biggest service provider in the UK supports more than 6,500 women and children on any given day; Refuge runs the freephone 24-hour National Domestic Abuse Helpline.

Differenza Donna - One of the most important organisations in Italy, Differenza Donna has helped more than 100,000 women since launch.

Fundación Mujeres - An organisation that has worked for equality between men and women in Spain for 25 years.

Associação Portuguesa de Apoio à Vítima - A national, non-profit, social solidarity organization in Portugal; they provide support to victims of all crimes, as well as their families and friends.

Centrum Praw Kobiet - The Women’s Right Centre supports over 6,000 women a year with shelter, expert services, and a 24-hour helpline.

Plans for early 2020 include the introduction of well-known local ambassadors and influencers, along with locally produced short-form content which will tell survivors’ stories, continue to shine a light on the different forms of abuse and highlight the vital work of partners. Activations and events will bring the campaign to life off-air.
