LONDON, Tuesday 25 October 2016: A+E Networks® UK today announced the appointment of Mark Neil to the role of Vice President of Finance.
In his new position Neil will lead A+E Network UK’s finance team and will play an integral role in shaping the business and driving continued growth. He takes up the role from 3 January 2017, reporting directly in to Nicolas Eglau, Chief Operating Officer at A+E Networks UK, and General Manager, Nordics, the Benelux and CEEMEA.
Neil joins A+E Networks UK from Scripps Networks Interactive where he was CFO, UK and EMEA. In a career spanning 25 years, Neil has extensive experience of running finance teams for major broadcasters and media companies. Prior to his position at Scripps, he was VP of Finance IP Solutions at Thomson Reuters and has also held senior roles at News Corp Europe, Discovery Communications Europe Ltd, BBC Worldwide and Sky.

In the past 12 months A+E Networks UK has grown ad sales revenues outside of the UK and its subscriptions; the company has increased its distribution with launches in several markets including INEA, Vectra and Orange in Poland, OSN in the Middle East and KPN in the Netherlands. A+E Networks UK launched its first UK free to air channel, BLAZE™, in September 2016. This autumn it also opened a new office in Amsterdam, moved to new premises in London and is expanding its presence in South Africa.

Its portfolio of factual and entertainment channels includes HISTORY®, Lifetime®, Crime + Investigation®, H2® and new free-to-air channel BLAZE.
